Ithuan

Dulatica

The most densely populated area of Ithuan, Dulatica is home not only to the shining capital city of the High Elves, Enjorus, but also to a hub for interplanar trade, the City of Nexus— named for the magical web that permeates all of existence. Dulatica is also home to the wreckage of Lord Nazal and Gothrag’s command ship, a huge floating earthberg carved into a vessel known as the Seventh Claw. The wreckage lies in Victory Bay. On the opposite side of the continent lies the lair of Vasheron, the Eternal Flame, an ancient dragon who’s lived for over thirty thousand years, and wages a grudge-fueled war against the Elvish Shockwind Family. To the northwest is the accursed barony of Nightport, a corrupted and foul place enshrouded in fog. Being such a hub for activity, Dualatica is home to adventurers and monsters of all sorts, and is one of the most diverse regions in existence.

Gorgabad

A Divine Realm brought down to the mortal plane, the dry and cold land of Gorgabad was the center of power for Gothrag, the Warlord God— one of the closest lieutenants of the God of Darkness during the Great Spirit War— fighting to conquer Ithuan over 25,000 years ago. It is corrupted by that dark influence, and his dark fortress, the Tower of Gorgabad still stands, controlled by Gothrag’s second-in-command Lord Nazal. Men and elves loyal to the Fallen Gods still dwell here in large cities, creating the main fighting force of Gorgabad. In the far north, the weapon of the dark god himself— the legendary Sword of Gorgabad, the Godslaying Blade— lies sleeping, embedded in the canyon it made when it struck the earth in the instant of its master’s defeat, waiting to be reawakened. Now Lord Nazal the Thrice Slain, prepares for a second attempt to conquer Ithuan, determined to get what he is owed.

Nightport

Albeit a small, shrouded region, Nightport is a major player in trade across the Western Bay and the Deepwave Ocean. It is said that the first vampire originated here, and he progeny live on in this same region. The main city is ruled by Alvertos Darke, an ancient warlock, and his inner court. They say he’s bargained with demons for unending life. In the swamps to the east lives Grandmother Withergreen, a mighty Hag who spends her time creating constructs of invariably monstrous nature. In the northern woods dwell werewolves, and in the west an adult Permafrost Dragon. This land is full of danger and death, defended primarily by the small group of extremely skilled monster hunters known as the Slayers.

Stratus Isles

The Stratus Isles are notable for one thing, Skywhelm, a floating city and the last holdout of Sky Giants in Ithuan. Devastated by the Spirit War, a conflict with the Fae, and a mysterious hurricane that swirls off to the East, their civilization still stands. They are calm, largely peaceful creatures who love to communicate through art and live in close knit family groups, expanding upon their existing palaces. The islands below are inhabited by many creatures both normal and ancient. Particularly, there remain a small hold out of Old Dragons, the primitive Lindwyrms. These and other monsters dwell below, but the Giants care little for them, as they focus mostly on praying to Selmara, the All-Mother of Giants for her blessings.

Isle Primordia

Home to large scaly creatures not seen anywhere else since their supposed extinction at the hands of Gothrag, the Warlord God at the end of the Great Spirit War, the Isle Primordia is the ancestral home of the Merfolk, a semi-amphibious race who thrive in marshes and inland rivers, they are masters of this hostile jungle environment, led by their druids they cling to survival. They tame the dinosaurs of their home, even as they are hunted by them. Such is the vicious way of life here under the watch of Qyrthila, the Minor Goddess who lords over the island. A few of their kind are washed to the mainlands of Ithuan in harsh storms, and join the people’s there, but most never leave their strange and fantastical island.

Kelratra

This land, once home to the proud and resourceful Desert Elves has been ravaged by a curse for the last 200 years. After their previous King displeased Lith, she has since forced nearly every member of their race to slither across the ground like serpents to pay for their insolence. Shunned by the other elves, and traumatized by the loss of her father, Sorcerer Queen Salvashi Onyxmind now prepares her people to lash out at the other kingdoms, and find a way to break Lith’s curse forcefully. To do so she turns to darker and darker magics that make the leylines in her land unpredictable, causing mutations and terrifying magical aberrations. Her hunger for power is matched only by the fanatical devotion she inspires in her people, and the fear she has of them turning against her.

Restalo

Restalo, the land of the Earth Giants, has warred with the elves of the City of Dreams for decades. The mud and stone of this continent makes it inhospitable to most races, so very few come here now. However, the land is riddled with ancient ruins from wars of years past. As the least explored continent of Ithuan, many adventurer’s guilds are interested in exploring this place, and desire to gain riches from the lost cities.

Castrael

Home to the Dwarves, a rich race of traders and miners are native to the mountains. They pump mana from the ground, creating a society full of hovering airships and metal spires. They are a strong people, but are under threat from an invasion force from one of the Daimyōs of Furusato. The dwarves are the primary exporter of goods to all of Ithuan. Their stores of dwarven bronze and their famous 7-League Company— the greatest makers of magical boots in the world—are huge sources of wealth. The Dwarves are suspicious of outsiders, but enjoy showing off the surface level of their society; beautiful structures and creations, and the masterful golems of their incredible artificers.

Furusato

Inspired by real-world East Asian countries, Furusato is home to many spiritualists and military minds, all of whom live in a land divided by a strange ethereal space and the beings that inhabit it, which surrounds everything. They include yōkai that march forth from their Kimon gates, the Ryū spirit dragons, and their minions. This war has long troubled the already isolationist nation, and hardened its people, who seek respite in a strict system, honor, and the arts both creative and martial. The Emperor and his Shogun rule over the nation, with the favor of the Ryū, through their Daimyo’s; they are the ultimate authority in a land where peace and war exist in equal parts and otherworldly monsters roam everywhere. This land, mysterious in origin, is the largest of the Six Continents, and seems to be the focal point of many mysterious, supernatural schemes...
