Death Will Come to All

The gods of darkness, servants of the second Founding God, these beings of corruption and malevolence are often the biggest threats to reality and civilization. They are recruited or created from the shadows, the ever patient, ever evil God of Darkness watching over them, controlling them, his madness and paranoia seeping into every action they take.

Azerack, the Seven-armed God

The legendary Lord of Ends, Azerack is near universally feared by mortals and immortals alike. He is the Second Founding God and the only being who poses any sort of real threat to Zek. His legendary blood red eyes are said to cause instant death to any mortal who he looks upon directly. As well, his conflict with Zek at the end of the Great Spirit War cracked and warped reality, resulting in the wounding of both omnipotent beings and the imprisonment of the Dark God in an unknown location, from which he’s continued to manipulate events from afar, working to free himself.

Dalthneshtar, God of Madness

The whispering nightmare ever watches, trapped after carving out one of Methaeus’s eyes. This manipulator of all corrupts mortals and gods for its dark master. A fragment of Azerack’s madness formed into an exceptionally powerful Major God, this beast of terror desires to consume the thoughts of mortals to grow and overpower its foes. Dalthneshtar is a savant of power and believed responsible, either directly or indirectly, for the Dream Realm, and psychic abilities that draw on sheer willpower rather than magic and mana. Also known as the Lurker at the Threshold and the Whisperer in Darkness, this horrific shapeshifting deity is incredibly dangerous for its power over the mind. Thankfully though, no sign of Dalthneshtar’s presence has been seen since the end of the Great Spirit War.

Asharderis, the King of Demons

The Lord in Scarlet, Asharderis is a supremely powerful mage god, ruling over his prison kingdom with an iron fist and a darksteel staff. Once a Primal God of New Life, his mind was filled whispers of insanity that made his creativity work towards something else. He dreamed up a race of powerful beings that could grow stronger over time and corrupt the world around them. He dreamed up his demons, and turned his realm of life into the Endless Abyss of Hell, a warped and deadly Outer Realm filled with malevolent entities with his fortress at the center. His legendary Staff of the Demon King has the power to control and draw forth energy from his entire realm, greatly increasing his power. As a result he is a mighty Major God that is feared even while sealed inside his own domain.

Gothrag, the Warlord God

The Conquerer, this brutal warrior has scarred planets and slain gods with his legendary blade, the Sword of Gorgabad. Once the Radiant God of Knights, he was defeated and corrupted by Azerack, and gifted a mighty weapon. Although without his blade he is much weaker, he wields enough might to challenge Major Gods. His most famous campaign was in Ithuan near the end of the Great Spirit War, when he manifested his Divine Realm of Gorgabad as a continent on that world, creating an immense fortress that still stands tens of thousands of years after his defeat; the infamous Tower of Gorgabad, standing over twenty-seven thousand feet tall. Gothrag appears as a brutal knight dressed in full custom darksteel plate standing twenty six feet tall, wielding his godslaying blade. His defeat at the hands of the Sorceria left him chained in the depths of the realm of Niflhiem, and his fortress like a husk of its own glory.

Iquatet, the First Dark Dragon

The first dragon created by the Dragon Father, Shadross, Iquatet is an immortal sorceress who rose to such power as to match her own creator. She is a cruel and greedy being, hoarding magic knowledge and strength in a perpetual conflict with her former master Shardross. It has since been documented that Iquatet and Shardross bypass one another’s divine resilience in battle, resulting in a set of circumstances that allowed Iquatet to escape the final battle of the Great Spirit War. Now she slumbers with her treasure hoard in an unknown location, waiting for her chance to supplant her rival and gain further favor with Azerack. This dragon has grown from demigod to become a full blown goddess, and now is one of the most mysterious members of the Fallen Court.

Lord Nazal, the Thrice Slain

The chief general of Gothrag’s army, Lord Nazal is a stubborn Lesser God who has repeatedly restored himself to life, is magically protected from a great deal of harm by a token given to him by a lover eons ago. He is deadly in combat, and a skilled leader plagued by inner conflicts caused by his incomplete corruption. This Lord of Shadows has been one of the biggest threats to Ithuan for a long time, regaining his position as the overseer of the Tower of Gorgabad along with his four favorite servants, the Nazalites, his fanatical followers. Back during the Great Spirit War, Lord Nazal started out fighting against the dark gods, and eventually fell to Gothrag’s offers of power. Controlled by an amulet gifted to him, he drowns in regret, causing him to plot vengefully against all others. Although Lord Nazal is powerful, he is unable to wield the Sword of Gorgabad personally.

Arachnis, the Mighty

A foul Lesser Goddess of insects and poison, Arachnis is one of Asharderis’s old creations bent to evil separately. She haunts the Endless Abyss and the Faewilds, allied with the ancient hag, Grandmother Nightcackle, one of Baba Yaga’s agents, and a scholar of demonology. Arachnis was responsible for badly injuring Titan, one of the Lesser giant gods, her venom leaving scars in his flesh. She is famous amongst alchemists, as it’s been said her venom can cause almost any effect she desires, and that potential has convinced many alchemists to seek her out despite the immense danger. Claiming herself to be the Queen of All that Crawls, she is obsessed with convincing Asharderis, Azerack, or even Dalthneshtar to lend her more of their immense power so she can rise through the ranks, desiring to capture and devour the Faerie Queen of Air and Darkness, although all her attempts have failed, as Queen Mabuka has proven herself the superior immortal.
