Legends > Sorceria

Sorceria

The Sorceria are the most powerful sorcerers in Ithuan, and renowned among the cosmos for their magical abilities. Chosen and empowered by Methaeus to protect the Nexus and maintain order, they each utilize their skills rather uniquely. However, they are not all-powerful, and their leader has since fallen at the hands of Gothrag to enable his fellows to defeat the dark god. The others have mixed feelings over their God’s encouragement of zealotry, especially following this sacrifice, and thus their relationship with the God has strained slightly.

Merlinous Castersoul

Likely the most well-known of the Sorceria, Merlinous— often just called Merlin— resides in Ithuan as an advisor and powerful archmage. His legacy is best exemplified by the school he founded: Scathe Academy for the Magical Arts and Sciences. A place created so everyone— regardless of allegiance, race, or ability— could learn magic, Scathe continues to operate with Merlin’s values in mind. Nowadays, Merlin’s main goal is to oppose the growing threat of Gorgabadian armies under Lord Nazal the Thrice Slain, and prevent Gothrag from rising again.

Merlin rarely forgets information, and has an excellent grasp of Godspeech, which he uses to augment his magic. He also learns almost instantaneously, and can put said knowledge to work.
