Antagonists

The Lord of Skulls is a legendary undead spellcaster who became the first lich, binding his soul to an unknown device and gaining unimaginable power, raising him to near god-like status. He is infamous for his role in the War of Skulls, a hundred-year conflict that devastated the plane of Kerios.

Few others inspire as much fear as Baba Yaga. Her legend is known under many names: the First Hag, Great-Grandmother, the Old Witch, and the Bonemother. Those who deal with her are bound to either suffer greatly at her hand, or find themselves in possession of both great power, and great debt.

The Court of Thieves

For every light cast by society, there is a shadow, and the shadows cast by the Kerian civilization run deep. The Court of Thieves has gained enough power to independently control several towns and settlements through… coercion. Their goals are unknown, but they wield both fear and money as skillful weapons.

Gloaming Courtiers

Known for their cold logic and harsh disposition, the shadow fae are the darkest of the faerie peoples, and are those who draw on fear, for its power is undeniable. The Gloaming Courtiers carry out Mabuka’s work without question, and their influence reaches farther than many dare guess.

Lumen Inc.

The Lumen Corporation is a monolith of a company, developing weapons and utility technologies. Lumen is also known to provide expensive “exotic goods and services.” It’s no secret that these are really bounty hunters, mercenaries, experimental weaponry, drugs, and other paraphernalia.

The Morning

The Morning is the martial law of the lower levels of the raised cities of Terran’Dolm, acting as the muscle, the mouth, and the minds behind their tacit rules. Few understand them, and fewer still know who's part of the organization. Anyone could be a champion of the rising dawn…

Frost

Frost was once a man on a mission. Still is, really, but his mission has changed drastically since then. He used to be ignorant of the powers that controlled him, used him, and then abandoned him below in the ruins like he was nothing. Now, he’s going to tear all of society down for it.

The Darke Court

Nightport remains a mystery to the majority of Ithuan’s general populace— shrouded in rumor, legend, and fear. Many hold the belief that the city’s ruler has dark powers, but there’s no proof. Those that rule the dark alleys and foggy port would like to keep it that way, at any cost.
